Consumers Care About iPhones More Than World Peace Study Shows

iPhone 4

While it is certain that the iPhone is one of the most popular electronics in recent history, a new study reveals that this love affair is bordering on obsession. After a group of over 25,000 people were asked about which brands, companies and agencies they desired the most, the vast majority favored Apple products above all others. This finding is quite interesting because the subjects polled were located in China, Singapore, the UK and the US among other countries. This means that Apple products were highly desirable across vastly differing cultures. Included on the list of choices were the Red Cross, BMW, Google and Ikea.

It may not be fair to suggest that those polled are actually more concerned about their own selfish desires than they are concerned with world peace, pollution and renewable energy, but it sure seems that way. Overall, most of the study subjects gave answers that indicated that they cared more about buying luxury items that made life convenient than anything else. This should say a lot about how people think and view the rest of the world, but it does show that Apple won’t be going anywhere soon. Google was probably upset when they saw that they only ranked number two on the list, but the animal kingdom should be outraged because the World Wildlife Fund only came in at number four. There is still hope for these gadget lovers that care more about their own desires than they do about the rest of the world’s inhabitants.
